From shader-based snow blending to real-time physics simulation — Quick Snow has it all.
Powered by Geometry Nodes simulation, snow falls and physically piles up on target objects. Control emitter scale, particle density, gravity, wind, collision radius and a kill-floor Z height. Press Play — watch snow accumulate in real time.
Objects leave realistic impressions in the snow as they move. Uses adaptive subdivision for maximum detail — subdivides densely near objects and coarsely elsewhere, keeping performance high. 4K snow impression material included.
Generate procedural icicles directly on any object using Geometry Nodes. An ice controller empty lets you position and direct the growth. Control icicle size, base diameter, density, distortion and frost crystals independently.
One click automatically connects your original Principled BSDF, normal map, albedo map and snow shader into a clean snow blend node. Supports foliage shaders, multi-slot materials and all standard texture types.
Create a physical snow mesh geometry layer on any object non-destructively. Draw curve-based footprint paths and stamp them into the snow with full control over foot length, width, pair offset, scale and rotation.
Create a complete snowstorm scene with particle-based snowfall in one click. Choose weather presets, control wind direction, velocity, turbulence, particle mass and fall amount. Add animated volumetric snow fog for atmospheric depth.
Choose the right blending approach for every object type.
Blends snow using height calculated from the object's normal map for pixel-perfect edge shaping. Range 0–10.
Height-based blending on every pixel from the bump or diffuse map. Great for rough stone or bark surfaces.
Creates a soft gradient on the edge of the snow. Works on any object without any map required.
All powered by Geometry Nodes — non-destructive, real-time, and fully controllable without touching the Shader Editor.
Creates a physical snow geometry layer on any object non-destructively. Draw curve-based footprint paths and stamp them in. Control coverage, seed, density, height and procedural mask. Original object is never modified.
Simulate snow physically falling and piling up on target objects in real time. A snow emitter plane above selected objects drives the particles. Self-collision lets snow pile up realistically. Press Play — watch snow accumulate frame by frame.
Objects leave realistic footprint impressions in the snow during animation playback. Adaptive subdivision gives maximum detail near objects and coarser meshes elsewhere — keeping performance high. Includes a 4K snow impression material with mud/dirt tinting.
Procedurally generate icicles on any object with an ice controller empty for precise placement. Control icicle size, base diameter, density and distortion. Includes ice crystal particles, ice mesh layer, and a frost effect intensity slider tied to the controller position.
Remove snow exactly where you don't want it with five distinct mask types.
Remove snow from the bottom part of an object using a procedural gradient mask. Includes a gradient falloff slider for controlling the soft transition from snow to bare surface. Perfect for grass tufts and fence posts.
Manually paint exactly where you want or don't want snow using Blender's vertex paint tool. Black removes snow, white adds snow. Works with all standard vertex color workflows.
Four procedural texture mask types — FBM noise, Multifractal noise, standard Noise, and FBM+Noise combined. Change location, scale and pattern to create organic snow patterns.
Mask out snow in concave / cavity areas of the mesh. Includes a cavity strength slider. Great for detailed rock surfaces where snow realistically only collects on top.
Mask out snow on sharp edges of the mesh. Includes an edge strength slider. Requires Cycles render engine for accurate edge detection.
1K, 2K and 4K PBR textures. Fully customizable: tint, AO strength, subsurface, softness, wetness, glitters, normal and bump strength.
Quick Snow exposes every shading parameter directly in the panel — no Shader Editor needed. Control Snow Tint, AO Strength, Subsurface Scattering amount and color, Snow Softness, Snow Wetness (via roughness map), Snow Glitters (via baked texture map), Specular, Normal Strength, Bump Strength, and Texture Scale — all in real time.
Create instant cinematic winter atmosphere with animated volumetric snow fog. One click adds a fully animated volumetric domain to your scene — adjustable density, color and animation speed. Combine with particle snowfall, weather presets and wind controls for a complete blizzard environment.
By default, Quick Snow reads each object's real-world dimensions and scales the snow texture automatically — no manual UV tweaking. A cube 1m wide and a building 50m wide each get perfectly proportioned snow. You can still override with the Texture Scale slider at any time.
Enable true displacement to push geometry outward — turning flat surfaces into visibly piled snow. Uses Subdivision Surface modifier with optional Adaptive Subdivision for render-accurate detail. Control displacement strength (0–100+), invert for terrain use, set dicing precision and subdivision levels.

"Really powerful, surprisingly fast, and way more versatile than you'd expect. You can get a result with one click, then refine until it looks unique. Highly recommended."
"If you want to add snow to a scene, this is the way to do it. Loads of features, easy to use (often just a couple of clicks) and the results are excellent. It's a great addon!"
"Super nice snow addon. Really love all the possibilities this addon offers in everything related to snow. Beautiful results! Thanks a lot for creating this!"
"Best snow addon on the market — PERIOD!"
"Easy to use and snow looks great"
"The developer loves his addon and updates it regularly. Keep on the good job!"
"Really cool, but can be a bit unstable at times — crashes and Python errors occasionally. Considering the high overall rating, maybe it's just my setup."
"Saw icicles on houses and thought: could geo nodes make these look like snow meshes? Quick Snow delivers exactly this. Great work!"
Automatically adjusts snow texture scale according to object scale — no manual texture coordinate tweaking needed.
Keyframe the snow coverage value or any parameter in the shader node for beautiful animated snow reveal or melt effects.
Snow stays on top of the object even as it rotates — essential for animation where objects roll or flip during snowfall.
Control snow glitters via a baked texture map. Adjust wetness through the roughness map for fresh powder vs. wet heavy snow looks.
Quickly link or append any of the 16 snow materials to any object. Choose snow type, resolution, and click — no shader editing needed.
No matter how complex the original foliage shader is, Quick Snow automatically finds and connects all nodes to the snow blend node.
Control subsurface amount, color intensity and softness — giving snow that characteristic translucent glow in sunlight.
Fully tested on macOS including Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3). All features work natively without Rosetta.
All shader-based snow features work in both Cycles and EEVEE. GeoSnow tools and displacement are Cycles-only for maximum realism.
Apply snow to all material slots at once with a single toggle. Works on objects with complex multi-slot setups without any manual looping.
Switch to the optimized procedural shader for faster real-time viewport performance — perfect for scenes with many objects.
Remove snow with one click and restore your original material exactly as it was. No data loss, no manual node cleanup required.
